And the FIRST STEEL BEAM goes up for newhope

It has happened. The steel has not only arrived but is going up ASAP!

Check out these pics. I wanted you to see the very first steel beam erected in the name of Christ!

As we build it, friends, let us remember:

15″He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. 17He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. 19For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.” (Colossians 1:15 – 20)

Go God…

chase makes us drive by the church everyday-he is just so excited about it! he and the kids were even building “newhope church” with the blocks during mom’s in touch this morning. but he’s not the only one who is excited :) go God for sure!

  • TIM:

Seeing the beam put in place, reminds me of putting a puzzle together. It doesn’t matter how big or how many pieces it is, corner, sky, ground, or tip of the nose, all pieces have an equal importance. Kind of like a church. Just like NEW HOPE. NEW HOPE is an awesome piece of GOD’S masterpiece.

Marissa, one day when the workers are not out there, you will have to walk Chase out there or meet the kiddos and I out there – it is fun to get up close.

Tim, I love your image of puzzle pieces. Works for the biblical image of the church, that is for sure.

  • Jenn:

I can’t wait! I hope we are still here to see it!
